EH21은 인간의 욕망과 꿈을 디지털 드로잉과 디지털 스컬핑으로 표현하는 작가로
선화예술중학교, 선화예술고등학교, 서울대학교 조소과를 졸업한 후, 10여년간
대기업에 근무하며 메타버스 산업의 흐름을 이해해왔다. 디지털 드로잉을 통해
내러티브 중심의 작품을 이어오던 작가는 조각 전공의 경험을 살려 보다 본질적인
감정과 경험의 전달에 충실한 디지털 스컬핑 3D컬렉션 “Primary Color Collection”을
런칭하였다. 가장 기본적인 색인 원색은 복잡하게 얽힌 인간 감정의 시작점에 존재하는 순수한 욕망을 대변하며, 서로 독립적인 원색들이 함께함으로써 다양한 색을 창출해내는 것처럼 작품을 둘러싼 작가와 관람객, 콜렉터 및 커뮤니티가 함께할 때 작품의 색이 더 다양해질 수 있음을 암시하고자 했다.
EH21 is an artist who records innate human desires and dreams on blockchain through digital drawing and sculpting. Having graduated from Sunhwa Art Junior High / High School and Seoul National University’s Sculpture Department, she has more than a decade of experience in fine art. Upon receiving her BA, she has been working for a Korean conglomerate for 10+ years, staying up to date with the latest trends in media & entertainment including the metaverse industry. EH21, which had continued its narrative-oriented work through digital drawing, launched the digital sculping 3D collection "Primary Color Collection," which focuses more on the delivery of essential emotions and experiences, utilizing the expertise of Sculpture major. The primary colors represent the pure desire at the beginning of complexly intertwined human emotions, suggesting that the colors of the work can be more diverse when the writers, visitors, collectors, and communities surrounding the work, just as independent primary colors blend together to create a variety of colors.
Red #1
Primary Color Collection 의 삼원색을 상징하는 첫 3개 작품은 컬렉션이 나오게 된 과정을 나타낸다. Red는 탄생, Green 은 사유, Blue는 도약의 의미를 담고있다.
Red는 작가에게 생명의 탄생을 연상시킨다. 한 생명의 탄생은 아름답지만 그 이면에는 또 다른 생명의 생을 위협할 수도 있는 정도의 강한 고난의 과정이 담겨있다. Primary Color Collection의 탄생은 축적된 고뇌와 인고의 시간이 있었기에 가능했다. 고통을 수반하기에 더 경이롭다.
The first three works, which symbolize the three primary colors of the Primary Color Collection, signifies how the collection came to being. Red, Green, Blue represents birth, thought, and leap respectively.
Red signifies the birth of life. The birth of a life is beautiful, but on the other side there is an intense hardship that can threaten another life. The birth of the Primary Color Collection was possible because of the accumulated time of anguish and patience.
Green #1
Green이 주는 편안함은 작가를 사유와 자기 성찰에 빠지게 한다. 고통스러운 탄생의 시간 뒤에는 성장을 위한 자기 성찰의 시간이 필요하다. 과거의 고통은 사유의 시간을 거쳐 경험이라는 이름으로 성장의 자양분이 된다.
The comfort that green gives makes the artist to contemplate and self-reflect. After the painful time of birth, a time for self-reflection is necessary for growth. The pain of the past passes through time of contemplation and becomes nourishment for growth in the name of experience.
Blue #1
Blue는 사유를 통한 작가의 세계관 정립 이후에 이어지는 도약을 상징한다. 하늘의 색이자 바다의 색인 blue는 이러한 도약이 미지의 세계로의 도약임을 나타낸다. 스스로를 얽매던 고민들이 이제는 작가와 함께, 작품과 함께 날아오르며 다음에 마주할 순간들을 기다린다. 독립적인 원색들이 모여 다양한 색을 만들어나가기 위한 첫 도약의 순간이 바로 Blue #1이다.
Blue symbolizes the leap that follows the artist’s worldview is established through thought. Blue, the color of the sky and sea, indicates that this leap is a leap into the unknown. The worries that used to bind themselves now fly with the artist and the work, waiting for the next moment. Blue #1 captures the moment of the first leap to create variety of colors by blending independent primary colors.
